Tips for a more enjoyable snorkeling and diving experience

  • Slow and quiet, “fluid” movement is less likely to scare things off before you have a chance to see them. Keeping your fins in the water when snorkeling is much less physically demanding too.

  • Please don’t touch, stand on or remove any coral.

  • Not every day is a good day for snorkeling or diving. Weather often compromises visibility and surf conditions making S&D not much fun as well as unsafe. Windy and white caps on one side, try the other. Wind on both sides, don’t bother.

  • Explore within your limits and be safe. Assess your own condition; swimming ability, distances involved and overall comfort level in the water.

  • If your mask keeps fogging, try a little spit rubbed around on the inside of the glass, with a quick rinse. If your mask maybe new, clean the inside of your mask with a little soft scrub and rinse.

  • It's highly recommended that you contact a dive guide whenever you're diving in unfamiliar waters.
